Review: Mystim Electric Eric E-Stim Vibrator

I have been both fascinated and terrified in equal measure by e-stim products for some time. When fellow blogger Joanne Gemini offered me the Mystim Electric Eric E-Stim Vibrator I was beyond excited!

First Impressions

Electric Eric is a product which combines both vibration and E-Stim (electrical stimulation). My first impression is that it looks just like a standard vibrator. There is no indication of what surprises (and shocks) lay in wait.

The packaging is nothing to write home about. It is white, grey and pink with a picture of the Electric Eric on the front. There is a hell of a lot of writing on 3 sides that to be honest tell me a whole lot of nothing in a lot of different languages.

case

Things get good though when you take it out of the box. Electric Eric comes complete with its own pale grey storage case. I wasn’t expecting a snazzy case so it was a very pleasant surprise. Within the case is Eric himself, a charging cable, an instruction booklet, a sachet of Bonnie and Glide lubricant and a sample of Mystim The Goldfather Electrogel.

Charging

Electric Eric has a USB charging cable which attached via a magnetic connector on the silver crest on the control panel. The magnetic connection is nice and strong and stays put. A lot of the magnetic style chargers come loose really easily but you don’t have that issue here thankfully. When it is fully charged the light changes from Red to Green and you get 2-3 hours of play time thanks to its Lithium-ion battery.

Controls

I have got to be honest, I was somewhat terrified of using Electric Eric for the first time after Joanne Gemini complained about nearly setting her foof on fire! So first things first I read the instructions to ensure that I didn’t do the same!

Control Panel

There are 6 buttons that control Eric, the top 3 control the e-stim and bottom 3 control the vibrations. The button that looks like some concentric circles switches the vibrations on/off & allows to you to change the patterns. The button that looks like an electric current switches the e-stim on/off and changes the programmes.

There are 8 vibration programmes with 10 levels of intensity. The e-stim has 5 programmes with 10 levels of intensity. You can use either the e-stim & vibrations separately or together, whatever flavour you fancy.

A very important piece of advice that the user guide DOES mention is to not switch on the e-stim controls until you have the product inside you. Same applies to switching it off before you remove the toy. It will give you a nip on any body part it touches!

My Experiences

I bloody love this product. Electric Eric and I are officially having an affair. As you are not advised to switch the toy on whilst its outside your body, I warmed up a little first and used plenty of lube. Eric isn’t exactly a tiddler so i think this is important to do. Trying to accept his 5 inch girth without a warm up is likely to test some people. It certainly does me!

I have tried a few different lubes with Eric and I prefer YES BUT organic water based anal lubricant. Its nice and thick, and long-lasting. Electric Eric is made from premium body safe silicone so water based lubricant is an absolute must. It also helps with the conductivity.

When I was comfy with Eric inside me, I tried the vibrations on their own. They aren’t bad but I don’t think they would get me over the line on their own. I’m not bother though as it is the e-stim that makes this product great. With some trepidation I pressed the impulse button on the control panel to switch on the electric stimulation. I was expecting to be thrown of the bed but at its lowest level I couldn’t really feel it…phew! However the lack of sensation didn’t last. You really have to play with the programmes and intensities to find one that suits you.

The sensation you feel from the mix of vibrations and electric stimulation is hard to describe. If you are sitting there cross-legged wondering why the hell would you want to have your lady bits or butt electrocuted then please uncross your legs as it doesn’t feel how you would expect. It kind of feels like an intense tickle of your most sensitive nerve ending. It isn’t painful in the slightest but it is very intense. I fucking love it!

I liken it to the feeling when someone runs their fingers up my lower spine. It surprises me, makes me squirm a little but I close my eyes and beg them to do it again.

The Goldfather and Bonnie & Glide!

As mentioned the Mystim Electric Eric comes with a couple of lube. Bonnie & Glide is water based lubricant which I think is no different to any standard lube you may already have. The Goldfather however is a conductivity enhancer which has little 23-carat gold specks in it to help achieve optimum conductivity. It’s ph balanced and condom friendly so I suffered no itching or burning after using. The sample of The Goldfather was only small but I think from my very limited test of it that it probably does make a difference. I would like to try a standard size bottle to try it out properly.

Conclusion

The Mystim Electric Eric is a fabulous product. It’s curved shaft fits my body perfectly and 2 conductive plates add an amazing new sensation to my play time. It even has a kegal training program but I will write about that another day, Eric is calling me.
