In my opinion Rabbit vibrators are the Marmite of the sex toy world. You love them or hate them. Personally I have a bit of a mixed history. In the last 12 months I have tried 6 rabbit vibes. When Lovehoney launched the Lovehoney Power Play Mains Powered Rabbit Wand Vibrator it immediately got my attention. The shape appeared to be similar to the Desire Rabbit so I was confident that it would fit my body and with the extra power I had to have it!
Packaging
Power Play Mains Powered Rabbit
Being a massive fan of the Desire range I was expected the packaging on the Power Play rabbit to be of a similar style & quality. Unfortunately it was a bit of a disappointment. It was the same packaging as the other Power Play products which whilst perfectly nice, that’s all it was. Nice. I have to be honest, the packaging is a bit of a turn off.
I wouldn’t usually be that bothered about the box but there is no other storage with the rabbit so I will be keeping the box to store it in. When I open my toy box it saddens me slightly seeing the packaging. knowng that it really doesnt do justice to the product underneath. I think it would have been good for Lovehoney to have included a storage bag with the rabbit as I am sure other people are like me and hate getting the cables tangled in their toy box.
First Impressions
I really like the aesthetics of the rabbit. The cable is over 2 meters long so it is plenty long enough to reach from the plug socket to the bed or the my favourite masturbation station – the sofa.
End to end the rabbit is about 12 inches long so it is a big piece of kit and 6 inches of that is insertable. The shaft of the rabbit is quite straight but it has a curved bulbous head designed for pin point g-spot stimulation. The nose of the rabbit is approx. 1 inch from the base of the shaft and the tip of the ears is approx. 2.25 inches away from the base.
The base of the rabbit holds the controls. The wheel at the front switches the rabbit on and off and controls the intensity. The bonus with this rabbit unlike some wands is that it also has patters which you control with a button at the opposite side.
Made For Me
The Rabbit is made from soft 100% body safe, latex & phthalate free silicone so I used a bit of water based lube, both on myself and the rabbit. My preference is to coat the shaft of the rabbit and on the ears as it helps with the sensations on my clit.
The rabbit is reasonably girthy with a 5 inch circumference so I find that it is a little hard to push inside me if I am not warmed up. A minute or so of sweeping the vibrating shaft over my clit and labia and I am good to go and I can insert in with a very satisfying ‘pop’.
The shape of the rabbit fits me perfectly. The bulbous head lines up with my g-spot and the ears cuddle my clit like it was made for me.
Packs A Punch
The power that you get from the Power Play Main Powered Rabbit is awesome. Having the scroll wheel rather than a button to control the intensity means that you can set up to exact level you want and you can do so quickly! I like to ramp up the power right up to the max at the moment of orgasm so it is perfect for me to be able to do some quickly and without the risk of switching it off!
The first time I tried the rabbit I completely forgot that it has patterns because the button to control them is slightly hidden at the back but the patterns are pretty good. It is easy to switch between the 8 patterns and each is distinctly different from the next. I know not everyone likes patterns but for me they are great are drawing out a solo session.
The bulbous tip is perfect. With the extra power, it is not long before I feel the telltale pressure in my abdomen & sensation like I need to pee. I am not a squirter but it definitely has squirting potential and it leaves me a writhing mess! I don’t dear let Mr Nerd loose with it yet as I think I would pass out!
The ears have some nice flex to them so I didn’t find them to pokey when trusting with the rabbit. With some good lube the ears just glide back and forth.
Volume
Extra power often comes with extra noise and this is no different. The Power Play power isn’t whisper quiet by a long shot but it no worse than other mains powered wands I have tried. At the lower levels I cannot hear it through a closed door and at its higher levels it can be drown out by the TV.
Clean Up
Obviously as this is a mains powered toy you need to be very careful around water. By far the best solution for cleaning are sex toy wipes but if you are careful you can use a wet cloth spritzed with sex toy cleaner.
Conclusion
This is an incredible rabbit. The shape fits my body like a dream, it is powerful as chuff and my lady garden is in love with it!
