Apart from having a rather amorous couple on the front, it is made from sturdy cardboard and plastic with a foam insert that holds the Ember and the charger cable. It is such good quality that I will undoubtedly be keeping the toy stored in it.
Visually the Ember certainly lives up to it’s name as it shaped like a flame and is an incredibly vibrant red. It is made from super soft, premium, body safe silicone. The only interruptions to the seam free silicone are the control button in the base and the charging port.

After a full charge the Ember will last approximately 30 minutes on the highest setting and 3 hours on the lowest setting. Personally I don’t think I could manage 30 minutes on the higher speed without turning to mush and passing out! I’ll leave that to the Power Queens.
I found this a really easy toy to use. Just press and hold the power button for 3 seconds to switch on or off and quick press to cycle through the 10 options of vibrations, pulsations and intensity. As well as having differing levels of speed, it has different patterns to suit everyone’s preferences. My inner nerd particularly liked that the light on the base flashed in sequence with the pattern – the small things in life!
So, is the flickering tongue more style over substance?
Not even close!! In truth I was blown away. It really takes no effort and for lazy masterbaters like me this is perfect!! If you hold the Ember lightly you can really feel the tip flicker against your body, under firmer pressure you feel the pulsating vibrations. At its top speed the tip vibrates in a completely blur & leaves you wanting more.
Don’t be fooled by its petite dimensions, the Red Hot Ember sure does pack a punch with pinpoint precision. It is made extra special with a slick of water base lube.
